Champions have been crowned.
The opening weekend of the KGNS Club Championships 2026 has officially come to a close, with the Super Seniors, Ladies and Juniors Championships delivering two days of exciting competition and memorable performances.
Super Seniors Champion: James Kui Jee Yeng
The biggest surprise came in the Super Seniors Championship. After sitting fifth following an opening-round 91, James returned with a superb final-round 85 to storm back and claim the title. In doing so, he edged out strong contender Dato' Liyackat Ali, whom many had expected to reclaim the championship after narrowly missing out in 2025.
His advice?
"You can't think you're a loser until the last hole. Everybody has a chance. You have to compete until the end."
A champion's mindset if there ever was one.
Ladies Champion: Lim Ai Lynn
Fresh from being crowned Kelana Queen 2026, Lim Ai Lynn proved it was no one-off performance. She followed up an opening-round 80 with an outstanding final-round 76 to capture the Ladies Championship, ending Khairunhanisah's remarkable seven-year reign as champion. Two major titles in the space of a few months. That is no longer good form. That is consistency.
Junior Boys Champion: Chan Jun Han
Lead after Round 1.

Champion.
The scratch golfer was in control from start to finish, improving from 75 to 73 to complete a commanding wire-to-wire victory. Has KGNS found its next dominant Junior Boys Champion? Only time will tell.
Junior Girls Champion: Dalia Tang
Dalia Tang entered the final round with the overnight lead and never let it slip. Although conditions proved more challenging on the second day, her opening-round 75 provided the platform she needed to secure the Junior Girls Championship.
Congratulations to all champions and participants for two days of excellent golf and sportsmanship.
One championship weekend down. More battles await.
Next stop: the Intermediate Championship.
